The Accessible Digital Audio Production System
Below is a list of equipment and technical specifications for an OS9 host-based system.
This system configuration is appropriate for production of artist demos, low budget radio productions, and basic tracks for working versions of music projects.
Limitations may include no use of high quality TDM effects, insufficient processing power for high track counts and multiple RTAS effects, and no support for SMPTE sync to video.
The approximate cost for this system, excluding the computer, was originally about $5,000, but as a used system it may now be obtained for well under $1,500.
